Hello there!

My name is Tarien Kemp and I am the photographer behind A & T Eventique - Photography.

I am a professional photographer and a bridal boutique owner - with a huge love for weddings and everything that goes with it!

Although I love doing all kinds of shoots and sessions, nothing compares to capturing the joys and emotions of a wedding day.

I love to build a relationship with my clients. From the first meeting, throughout the engagement shoot (should I have the honour to capture that as well) and especially on the big day. By getting close to my clients, I allow myself to feel every moment with them and capture more than just a photo. I strive to capture pure moments of joy, moments of passion and moments where nothing else in the world matters except the raw souls in front of my lens. 

Now that you understand a little more about my passion, here is a bit of a more technical background about me:

I have been in love with photography since high school when I got my very first DSLR camera on my 17th birthday. After high school I studied at the School of Light in Cape Town where I completed my course in Intermediate Photography.

At the time of doing so, I started out working normal office jobs and pursuing my love after hours and over weekends. I mostly did family, newborn, engagement and matric farewell sessions and did my first wedding in 2015. From there my love for wedding photography started and I was completely hooked. In 2016 my mom and I were lucky enough to quit our day jobs and start our own wedding business which covers wedding photography as well as a full blown bridal boutique with gowns, shoes and accessories. Since then I have moved all of my attention and time to mostly weddings and I have been abundantly blessed with bookings!

I truly can say that I have built up enough experience to confidently capture a couple's biggest day! However, I constantly strive to better myself and my work every single day as photography is such a vast and massive field and there is always more to be learned!
